Eastern Motors Ltd is still well-known as such. The credit for this goes entirely to the founder of Eastern Motors, late Nurul Islam Bhuyan. After the death of the founder of Eastern Motors Ltd Mr. Nurul Islam Bhuyan, Mr Mukhlesur Rahman took the entire responsibility of Eastern Motors Ltd. Under the direction of Mr Mukhlesur Rahman business between Bridgestone and eastern Motors Ltd reached a turning point. As it become necessary to innovate on the existing modes of business strategy, Mr Mukhlesur Rahman travelled to Japan to discuss such a certain scheme with the management at Bridgestone Corporation. After his return he initiated this new marketing scheme or a dealership strategy. The scheme started on May 1, 1986 was a huge success even in this tremendously competitive tire market. Sales increased dramatically and the number of Bridgestone Tire dealers increased to 100 in the year 2014 across the country.
